Welcome! My name is Tony Seegers and I am the president/owner of 1803 Consulting, LLC. 1803 Consulting is a full service government affairs firm that represents the interests of its clients with Ohio’s legislative and executive branches of government.
As someone who loves Ohio and the statehouse, I chose “1803” because that was the year Ohio was admitted to the Union.
My Experience
- Graduated from The Ohio State University with a BA in political science in 1997.
- Worked as a legislative aide in the Ohio House of Representatives and Ohio Senate for ten years.
- Obtained my law degree from Capital University Law School's evening program while working full time as a legislative aide, graduating with honors.
- Practiced law as an assistant attorney general and then with a small firm.
- Director of Labor and Human Resources Policy for the Ohio Chamber of Commerce, lobbying on labor, employment and workers's compensation.
- Director of State Policy for the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation lobbying on a variety of topics including environmental, labor, workers' compensation, etc.
- Now president/owner of 1803 Consulting, LLC

1803 Consulting advocates for clients who have interests before the state legislature and Ohio's executive agencies. This includes traditional lobbying on legislation as well as representing you before state regulators.
As an attorney, I know how important it is for laws to be clear and understandable. That’s why I take great pride when I draft legislative language that achieves my clients’ goals.
At the end of the day, effective lobbying is about relationships and trust. Nothing matters more at the statehouse than honesty and one’s word.
